Interactive AI portals

To bring its “Smarter AI for All” initiative to life, Lenovo partnered with TBA to create a series of interactive AI Portals across major London train stations. The futuristic installations invited commuters to experience AI in action, transforming their own photos into AI-generated portraits inspired by everyday heroes. 

From doctors to engineers, each persona celebrated the people AI empowers. With printed keepsakes and digital downloads, the experience delivered high commuter engagement and amplified Lenovo’s position as a leader in innovative, accessible AI technology. 

Challenge

Lenovo set out to demonstrate how its AI technology empowers both individuals and industries. The challenge: deliver a memorable brand activation that cut through the noise of London’s busiest stations while engaging a fast-moving audience through immersive, tech-driven storytelling. 

Solution

To capture attention in high-traffic commuter hubs, we launched Lenovo’s AI Portal activation at Canary Wharf, Victoria, and Waterloo. Each portal mirrored the campaign’s futuristic visual identity and served as a physical touchpoint for real-time AI interaction. 

Using gesture-controlled technology, participants selected from a range of everyday hero personas – such as teachers, medics, and engineers – and received personalised AI portraits on the spot. With both printed versions and digital downloads via QR code, the experience extended beyond the station floor and into social feeds, inboxes, and conversations. 

By blending cutting-edge AI with emotional storytelling, we created an activation that brought Lenovo’s “Smarter AI for All” message to life, while reinforcing the brand’s leadership in accessible, human-first technology.
