The Heart Behind the Work | Siân Legg

Role: Project Manager

Me, in a sentence

I’m a positive, outgoing person who loves great company, delicious food, and exciting adventures. I am always on the hunt for new experiences and making the most of every moment.

Would you say you’ve always been a creative person?

I’d say I was more creative when I was younger, spending a lot of time performing, dancing, and being on stage in my spare time, which really helped me explore and build my confidence. As my career has progressed, my creativity has evolved into finding inspiration in everyday moments. I enjoy tackling challenges in different ways, whether it’s solving a logistical problem or exploring ideas from new angles to find solutions that aren’t immediately obvious. It’s a different kind of creativity but equally rewarding.

What’s a piece of work you wish you had created?

I love listening to music, and one of my all-time favourites is ‘Stockholmvsy’ by Hannes & Waterbaby. There’s something about how it hits every beat so perfectly… It always makes me feel calm and completely wrapped up in the melody.

A quote or saying you live by?

‘Everything happens for a reason’

A classic quote, but I love how it puts things into perspective and it’s adaptable for small everyday situations, or huge life decisions.

What do you do when you feel creatively stuck?

I’m always listening to music and love putting on a song I’ve heard recently, then letting the radio and suggested tracks carry me through. Nothing beats a good cup of tea with something sweet, and a walk at lunchtime is what I need to refresh my head.

What’s caught your attention in the creative world recently?

Lime’s playful response to the London tube strikes… and the sheer number of Lime bikes popping up everywhere. A perfect reminder of the joys and chaos of commuting in London. I loved how they turned a frustrating situation into something fun and shareable, with everyone suddenly becoming a cyclist overnight.

When you’re not in the office, where are people most likely to find you?

I love to keep myself busy. I’m always meeting up with friends, whether it’s for a wholesome catch-up, drinks or a meal out. I also enjoy staying active, whether that’s running with friends, sometimes bouldering, or challenging myself with HIIT and Hyrox classes. Even though our weeks in events are always busy and I should be taking time to relax, I usually end up doing the complete opposite.

Your proudest career moment to date?

When I first joined TBA, I worked on Lenovo Accelerate, an event that welcomed over 700 guests and featured a range of activations inspired by Lenovo’s global FIFA sponsorship. It was an incredible introduction to the world of B2B sporting events, giving me exposure to large-scale event management, brand storytelling, and audience engagement.

Through tiered seating, stage set, print and lighting, we transformed the space into ‘The Lenovo Stadium’. It was an incredibly busy and exciting period as I was getting to know a new company, clients, new processes, and connecting with so many new people, all while being part of a high-energy, fast-paced team. It was challenging, but immensely rewarding and why I love the world of events!

What’s next?

I’m heading onsite to Barcelona next week as TBA are the production partners for Canalys Forums 2025. It will be a very exciting week seeing months of hard work come together, welcoming 700 IT channel leaders for the opportunity to develop business through a combination of presentations, 1:1 meetings and networking.

Outside of work, I’ve just booked to go to South Korea with my friends! We’ll be visiting Seoul, Busan and Jeju Island, exploring the culture, food, and sights along the way. I know it’s going to be an incredible adventure full of new experiences and memories.
